DOES A CATTLE STOCK WATERING POND ON A CSD WATER BOARD DIRECTOR’S RANCH SUDDENLY APPEAR IN AUGUST OF 1998?

I have also asked questions about the PRIVATE WATER LINE that evidently runs from GRANITE SPRINGS ROAD (north of what appears to be a stock watering pond) across the entire ROSS Ranch that eventually serves two other ranches which are also outside the MERCED IRRIGATION DISTRICT PLACE OF USE (MID POU).

There have been a number of meter reports documenting “unaccounted for water” when the meter on Granite Springs read is greater than the sum of the two meters at the end of the line. A previous IGM stated it was because a compound meter was not installed on GRANITE SPRINGS.  HECK, it was over twenty years BEFORE EVEN A REGULAR METER WAS PLACED ON GRANITE SPRINGS WHERE THIS DIVERSION OF LDPCSD WATER OCCURS.

EMERY ROSS has stated the LDPCSD has no authority to inspect the water line, a water line which our DISTRICT ENGINEERS were not even aware until I asked questions. ROSS has also stated if he wanted to allow water to leak on his property it was of no concern to the LDPCSD because it was his water.         ROSS EMAIL RE LEAKS

PETE KAMPA is a longtime good friend of EMERY ROSS (who immediately notified KAMPA of the CONFIDENTIAL RESIGNATION BY OUR FORMER GM SO KAMPA COULD BE THE ONLY APPLICANT FOR THE JOB!) and is apparently unconcerned about this undocumented water line and loss of water, much less that it has probably been loosing water for over twenty years somehow.  Since the Ross Ranch does not have a well, how does he fill that large pond in the Summer?

KAMPA is more concerned with providing water to other properties like the EMERY ROSS cattle ranch which are outside the legal service area under the water license which our LDPCSD pumps MERCED RIVER WATER from Lake McCLure.

How can something like this be ignored by the LDPCSD?  The County of Mariposa?  The  State Water Board?  But more importantly – the legally entitled Merced River Water users who pay the bills and are going to subsidize such lunacy for as long as they own property served by the LDPCSD?

Gosh, sure doesn’t sound right to me.   What about you?
