As you may have guessed I recently purchased an Olympus Tough TG4 point and shoot camera. (Reference to a TG4 photo under the photograph menu.) My old TG2 still works but developed some “sensor spots” that were a bit annoying – one top left and one right center. (All operating instruction decals have also worn off the camera body.) Some day I might try cleaning the sensor, but from the research done so far – that project is a bit outside of my “can do list” right now. Images like the one above remind me of the “old days” with my Minolta SRT102 and shooting time exposures with a tripod, shutter cable release, notebook and stopwatch! You were never quite sure what you captured until in the dark room developing and printing the negatives. Sure is much easier now – just the tripod and the subject. The really cool part is the instant recognition of whether the image is a keeper or not. If not – delete and try again. I’ll be experimenting with it so be prepared for some fairly unnsual images. 🙂
