Author and former Bill Clinton advisor Naomi Wolf, has described current CCP virus lockdown restrictions as an “invention of Xi Jinping” that has never existed in the history of free society.

In an interview with Sky News, Wolf said every basic human right was being violated, including restricting the freedom to assembly, worshipping, running business, and educating children.

“There’s nowhere in the constitution that says our civil liberties can be suspended if there is a bad disease or serious health emergency,” she said.

She also noted how societies have already lived through large outbreaks of diseases such as tuberculosis, poliovirus, HIV and cholera without obstructing human rights.

“It’s been painful for me to watch the people of Australia being lied to over and over and tortured there psychologically,” Wolf said.

Last November, the outspoken Democrat wrote on Twitter expressing her regret for voting for Biden due to his supportive stance on lockdown policies. https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?creatorScreenName=EpochTimes&dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-0&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1325604856283869189&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theepochtimes.com%2Flockdowns-invention-of-xi-jinping-argues-american-author-naomi-wolf_3720216.html&siteScreenName=EpochTimes&theme=light&widgetsVersion=e1ffbdb%3A1614796141937&width=550px

In an interview with Fox’s Tucker Carlson, Wolf said this was not a partisan issue, as it affects all citizens’ freedom and rights regardless of political standing.

“It transcends everything that you and I might disagree or agree on,” Wolf told Tucker. “That should bring together left and right to protect our Constitution.”

Sanjeev Sabhlok, former economist at the Victorian state government, wrote an op-ed in The Australian illustrating how Sweden’s open policies prove that lockdowns do nothing to contain the virus.

He mockingly calls the lockdowns “the great invention of 2020” devised by the “medical genius” Xi Jinping and heavily criticises western democracies for adopting the measures into their own free societies.

“Are we going to close Australia for every bad flu in the future?” Sabhlok wrote. “We must reassert our faith in freedom and reason and end our embrace of the cowardly, totalitarian, zombie ways of the communist Chinese government.”

“Totalitarian China may well do what it likes, but why have we adopted its ways? … We seem to be intent on self-destructing as a civilisation.”

The Australian government announced on Tuesday that international borders would remain closed for another three months.

At the same time, Western Australia Premier Mark McGowen suggested that hard border policies could stay in place even after COVID-19 ends to stop illegal drugs from entering the state. He soon backtracked on his comments after it was met with heavy criticism.

As Cuomo’s Troubles Mount, US Representatives Consider a Run to Replace Him

By Masooma Haq March 3, 2021 Updated: March 3, 2021 biggersmallerPrint

As New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s troubles mount with increased scrutiny over his handling of the pandemic-related nursing home deaths and sexual harassment allegations, some New York Congress members are saying they will consider running against Cuomo in 2022.

Reps. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) and Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) both indicated that they will consider a run against Cuomo, with Zeldin moving forward by making a statement on Twitter about his intention.

“With his nursing home cover-up and abuse coming more to light, it’s clear #CuomosGottoGo. As a NYer, I can’t sit back as Cuomo attacks our freedoms, our wallets, and our safety. After many msgs of encouragement and discussing w/my fam., I’m actively exploring a 2022 run for Gov of NY,” wrote Zeldin.

Zeldin, who served in the U.S. Army prior to becoming a Congressman for his state in 2010, called on his fellow New Yorkers to insist that there be an investigation into the allegations against Cuomo.

“Cuomo is using his office and power to abuse NYers. He’ll never accept responsibility, so it’s up to all of us to stand up and hold him accountable. NYers must speak out on the allegations and make our voices heard,” said Zeldin on March 1.

Cuomo has drawn criticism from both Democrats and Republicans in his state, after a New York Post report revealed that one of his top aides, Melissa DeRosa, told lawmakers in a private setting that Cuomo’s administration had withheld how many nursing home residents died from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus because they feared the numbers would “be used against us” by the Trump administration.

For his part, Cuomo has fiercely defended his state’s response to the crisis, referring to some of the allegations against him as “misinformation” and “lies.”

“I’m not going to let you hurt New Yorkers by lying about what happened surrounding the death of a loved one,” Cuomo said during a news conference in Albany on Friday. “So I’m going to take on the lies and the unscrupulous actors, especially when they cause pain and damage to New York.”

Meanwhile Stefanik, who has called on the governor to resign, told the “Ruthless” podcast Tuesday that although her intention is to run for reelection in the House, that could change and she may make a run for governor of New York.

Stefanik is serving her fourth term as a representative and has been helping to grow the House majority as the National Republican Congressional Committee’s head of recruitment for the last election cycle.

“This governor should resign. If he does not resign, there is a path for a Republican to win statewide in New York,” Stefanik said.

“I’m calling for him to resign. I want to see that happen,” she added. “I again am planning on running for the House, but these dynamics as you know change very quickly.”

In addition to the nursing home death scandal plaguing the governor, three women have come forward with sexual harassment allegations against him.

A growing number of New York state lawmakers have also called for the governor’s resignation and an investigation into the women’s allegations.

In a statement to The Epoch Times on Feb. 24, the Democratic governor’s office said that the “claims of inappropriate behavior are quite simply false.”

US Investigating Human Smuggling Link to California Crash That Killed 13

By Zachary Stieber March 3, 2021 Updated: March 3, 2021 biggersmallerPrint

Investigators with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency were going to the scene of a deadly crash in southern California to probe whether it was connected to human smuggling, according to the agency.

“Special Agents from Homeland Security Investigations San Diego responded to the scene of today’s fatal crash in El Centro, California, and have initiated a human smuggling investigation,” an official with the agency, known as ICE, said in a statement to news outlets on Tuesday.

Homeland Security Investigations is the primary investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, conducting federal criminal investigations into illegal cross-border movement of people, goods, money, technology, and other contraband.

A crash involving an SUV carrying 25 people and a semi-truck took place Tuesday just 15 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. Preliminary information indicated that the Ford Expedition SUV entered an intersection in front of a big rig, which then collided with the left side of the SUV.

A dozen people were found dead when first responders first arrived at the scene, while another person died at a hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol.

“It’d be premature for me to discuss or speculate what caused this collision. What we have to keep in mind is that 13 people died in this crash. We owe it to the families and those killed and injured as well as the public to conduct a thorough and complete investigation,” California Highway Patrol Chief Omar Watson said at a press briefing.

Judy Cruz, managing director of the emergency room department at El Centro Regional Medical Center, had tabulated the death count as 15 at a separate news conference.

At least 10 of those killed in the crash were from Mexico, according to Roberto Valasco, director of North American affairs for Mexico’s Foreign Relations Department.

Those injured ranged in age from 16 to 55 and were taken to various hospitals in the area with injuries ranging from fractures to life-threatening head wounds.

“It’s unfortunate that that number of people were put into that vehicle because there’s not enough safety restraints to safely keep those people within the vehicle. There are numerous people that were ejected onto the roadway as a result of this collision,” Watson said.

Officials are working with the Mexican consulate to determine the identities of those who were in the SUV. The driver has been identified. The driver, a native of Mexico, died. There were children in the vehicle, but authorities were still gathering details about them.

A California official said immigration agents were not pursuing the SUV when it slammed into the semi-truck. ICE officials told outlets that they didn’t yet have information on the victims’ immigration statuses.

Dr. Adolphe Edward, chief medical officer at El Centro Regional Medical Center, told reporters that workers do not “use the term undocumented in the hospitals.”

“To us, these folks that came to us are patients,” he said.

LONG HISTORY OF DEMOCRAT ELECTION FRAUD – “BOX 13”

By Bill Federer, November 14, 2018

In 1941, Lyndon Baines Johnson ran for U.S. Senate. Franklin D. Roosevelt made a speech on the eve of the election criticizing LBJ’s opponent, Wilbert Lee O’Daniel, nevertheless, LBJ lost by 1,311 votes.

LBJ alleged voter fraud. In 1948, LBJ ran for Senate again. On election night, Sept. 2, 1948, in the Democrat Primary runoff against former Texas Governor Coke Stevenson, it appeared LBJ lost.

Then, mysteriously, a box of uncounted ballots was “discovered” in the south Texas town of Alice in Jim Wells County, Precinct 13. Confusion reigned in Texas and by the end of the week, LBJ won by 87 votes. Both sides accused the other of voter fraud.

The FBI, Postal Department and other agencies investigated. Piecing together the details, the story emerged alleging that during the tabulation period, LBJ’s campaign manager, John B. Connally, traveled to Alice, Texas.

With access granted by wealthy “political boss” of Duval County, George Parr, who later committed suicide, John Connally was present when the ballots were recounted and the returns amended.

When the dust settled, the new totals showed 202 additional voters, some of whom were deceased and buried in the local cemetery or were absent from the county on election day. These voters “lined up” in alphabetical order at the last minute, signed in the same blue ink in the same handwriting and all cast their ballots for LBJ.

The New York Times published an article July 30, 1977, titled “Ex-Official Says He Stole 1948 Election for Johnson”:

“The disclosure was made by Luis Salas, who was the election judge for Jim Well’s County’s Box 13, which produced just enough votes in the 1948 Texas Democratic primary runoff to give Mr. Johnson the party’s nomination for the United States Senate … ‘Johnson did not win that election – it was stolen for him and I know exactly how it was done,’ said Mr. Salas, now a lean, white-haired 76 year old … George B. Parr, the South Texas political leader whom Mr. Salas served for a decade, shot and killed himself in April of 1975. Mr. Johnson is dead and so is his opponent … Mr. Salas said he decided to break his silence in quest for ‘peace of mind’ … ‘I was just going along with my party’ … He said Mr. Parr ordered that 200-odd votes be added to Mr. Johnson’s total from Box 13.

“Mr. Salas said he had seen the fraudulent votes added in alphabetical order and had them certified then as authentic on order from Mr. Parr … Parr was the Godfather … He … could tell any election judge: ‘give us 80 percent of the vote, and the other guy 20 percent.’ We had it made in every election …”

The New York Times article continued:

“The Associated Press interviewed … a former agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, T. Keilis Dibrell … He confirmed Mr. Salas’ statement that the last 200 votes had been in alphabetical order’ … Mr. Dibrell said ‘Also, the last 202 names were made with the same colored ink, and in the same handwriting, whereas the earlier names in the poll list were written by different individuals and in different color inks.’

The final statewide count, including the Box 13 votes, gave Mr. Johnson an 87 vote margin … earning him the tongue-in-cheek nickname ‘Landslide Lyndon.’”

The Democrat Central Committee was deadlocked 28 to 28 on whether to certify the questionable election results, so Connally persuaded Frank W. Mayborn, publisher of the Temple Daily Telegram, to cut short a business trip in Nashville, Tennessee, and return to cast the deciding Committee vote to certify the election results.

Coke Stevenson took LBJ to court and on Sept., 24, 1948, Judge T. Whitfield Davidson ordered LBJ’s name removed from the general election ballot.

LBJ turned to Washington attorney and former FDR appointee Abe Fortas. Abe Fortas persuaded Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, who was also appointed by FDR, to intervene.

On Sept. 28, 1948, Justice Black overturned the lower court ruling, letting the decision in the Johnson-Stevenson race rest with the Texas Democrat Central Committee.

In return for his favor, Abe Fortas was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson in 1965 to be a Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.

During LBJ’s term as President, many records of LBJ’s contested race disappeared.

In 1966, Abe Fortas accepted money from a Wall Street financier investigated for securities violations. Abe Fortas resigned in 1969.

In the Washington Post article, “HOW ‘LANDSLIDE LYNDON’ EARNED HIS NAME,” March 4, 1990, David S. Broder reviewed Robert Caro’s book “The Years of Lyndon Johnson”:

“The slimy creature who stole the 1948 Texas Senate election … Lyndon Johnson … driven by ‘a boundless ambition … his career had been a story of manipulation, deceit and ruthlessness … the morality of the ballot box … in which nothing matters but victory and any maneuver that leads to victory is justified … Johnson … stole the victory in the 1948 Senate race … That campaign was an American classic … Johnson battled … a strongly favored opponent to win by the narrowest of margins — the 87-vote victory that earned him the derisive nickname of ‘Landslide Lyndon’ …

Johnson went through an equally breathless battle in the state convention and the courts to make his clearly tainted victory stand up.”

In March of 2006, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott posted a column on the Texas State Attorney General’s website, stating:

“Voter fraud is no newcomer to the Lone Star State. Six decades ago, the votes ‘found’ in Jim Wells County’s infamous Ballot Box 13 helped Lyndon Johnson squeak into the U.S. Senate in that 1948 primary.”

BEAUTIFUL DAY LOTS OF THINGS TO DO – but….

wanted to mention this to you because I just discovered it myself – LEFT SOCIAL MEDIA DICTATORS have even removed the “Pillow Guy’s” videos about the claimed 2020 election corruption and computer ballot manipulation! (WHY? If it is bullshit show the world it is bullshit! Seems far more likely now that it is legitimate information that the cheaters don’t want the American citizen to understand. What do former military generals and a pillow manufacturer have in common? Telling the American people about the last “RIGGED” election apparently!)

(I received my first censorship with the link to “Married To Election Fraud Rap” LAME tune being censored by Youtube. Still on the MeWe platform. I never thought I would live long enough to see our Constitutional Right to Free Speech so egregiously violated by private Anti-American wealthy social media regulators.)

JUST ABOUT ANYTHING IF THE TRUE WILL OF “THE PEOPLE”

You know, I could accept just about anything from the majority of American citizens in an honest free election – but not this fraud appointment of government leaders and establishment of Anti-American policies quickly pushed through thanks to a hi-jacked election by the extreme Left. If the election was legitimate why not just prove it as that with a 100% digital forensic scan of all paper ballots? Once and for all be done with the issue as to whether or not our elections have been honest?

NO EVIDENCE OF CORRUPTION THAT WOULD CHANGE RESULTS?

And there never will be without a legitimate investigation as to whether or not ballots were legitimate. (Counting that 5th Ace in a crooked card game over and over is ridiculous – it’s lunacy if looking for election integrity! REFERENCE TO BELOW LINK:

NEXT POST WILL HAVE A VIDEO DEALING WITH THAT SUBJECT (ELECTION PROCESS INTEGRITY) BY JOVAN HUTTON PULITZER –

A VIDEO MUST VIEW!

THE REMOVED VIDEO HAD SUGGESTED SHARING ANYWAY

Since that video actually suggested sharing with as many people as possible before possibly being “cancelled/censored” and PROHIBITED from public viewing (which both videos have been since and replaced with numerous links to attempted humor of the Left regarding their successful THEFT OF A U.S. ELECTION) I took some photos from the computer monitor as I was viewing the video just in case it was later removed. Kind of like 411 insurance – lol.

WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR AMERICAN FREEDOMS?

Imagine that? In OUR AMERICA? FOLKS, if this information is legitimate we are all victims in an EXTREMELY SERIOUS BETRAYAL OF OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS as CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! I can decide for myself what I believe to be credible – why is an alternative to MAIN STREAM MEDIA being censored? Anyway, select the below link to those (insurance) “still images” from the now cancelled Pillow Guy video:

My best to you and yours, Lew

Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy

Last week, Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield, spoke on the US House Floor.

McCarthy was Tuesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”. Here are his words:

“Mr. Speaker — Democrats won the House by the slimmest of margins in November: a mere five seats and 32,000 votes nationwide.

Their victory in the other branches was also tight.

Usually, when one party has a tiny majority, they recognize that governing requires compromise.

Not this majority.

Less than two months into controlling the House — despite promising to solve problems and restore democracy — Democrats have proven that their primary goal is not governing, but grievance — the politics of censorship, not common ground.

In January, they eliminated the Motion to Recommit — the last chance for the minority to improve legislation — without a single Republican vote.

Already, millions have lost their voice in Congress due to this brazen partisanship.

What Democrats are doing this week is even worse.

Today, they will hold a subcommittee hearing that will focus on broadcasters’ and cable news’ ‘devotion to journalistic integrity’.

This explanation should concern every American.

It has never been Congress’s role to define and enforce journalistic standards. The First Amendment expressly prohibits the government from controlling what the press says.

But Democrats are trying to give themselves the power to dictate what you can read and watch in your own home.

And their assault on free speech goes beyond today’s disgraceful hearing.

On Monday, Representatives Eshoo and McNerney sent a letter to 12 cable, streaming, and satellite companies — essentially threatening them to remove Fox News, Newsmax, and One America News Network from the airwaves.

Here is just a quick snapshot of the answers they’re demanding from the carriers:

‘What moral or ethical principles … do you apply in deciding which channels to carry or when to take adverse actions against a channel?’
‘What steps did you take … to monitor, respond to, and reduce the spread of disinformation, including encouragement or incitement of violence by channels your company disseminates to millions of Americans?’
‘Are you planning to continue carrying Fox News, Newsmax, and One America News Network both now and beyond any contract renewal date? If so, why?’

These are Members of Congress who are using their official positions to coerce and control the information Americans can watch and access in their homes.

They are demanding more censorship, more deplatforming, and more control over what Americans can watch.

In their letter, Eshoo and McNerney suggest that censorship is necessary because conservative views are not only different — they are dangerous.

This is not only false, it is the same script used in countries like China to silence speech they disagree with.

Democrats would bring those same socialist standards to America.

Yet those standards are dangerous, vague, and easily abused. They have no place here.

Democrats’ actions this week make it clear that the greatest threat to free speech today is not a law from Congress, which is bound by the First Amendment.

The greatest threat is politicians who bully private companies to silence dissenting views.

Lastly, beyond these serious threats to free speech, the irony of Democrats’ actions this week should not be lost on us.

For the last four years, we were told that the greatest danger to free speech was President Trump.

To underscore this accusation, a liberal legacy newspaper in Washington adopted its first official slogan: ‘Democracy dies in darkness.’

As usual, the heated rhetoric from the other side was off base — badly.

The same party that is now worried about ‘misinformation rumor mills and conspiracy theory hotbeds’ was comfortable with endorsing destructive and false narratives for four years.

Back in August, Rep. Eshoo herself baselessly alleged that the Trump Administration was intentionally attacking the U.S. Postal Service. She called it ‘election theft’ and a ‘campaign of sabotage.’

How about Rep. Schiff? For years, he said he had more than circumstantial evidence of Russian collusion. That was false. Nonetheless, networks like MSNBC continued to perpetuate the baseless accusation.

Or how about Speaker Pelosi, who said in 2017 ‘Our election was hijacked. There is no question.’

Mr. Speaker — The American people are capable of making decisions about how best to live their lives.

They deserve to decide how to take care of their families or open their businesses during a pandemic.

And they deserve to decide to watch the news, judge the information they choose, and draw their own conclusions about its accuracy.

They need us to trust them, not try to control them.

If Democrats accepted robust debate, they would find that more people would trust Washington.

I yield back.”

LDPCSD FEB 16TH, 2021 BOD

LCPCSD
Monthly Board of Directors Meeting
February 16, 2021

LDPCSD Board President Dan Hankemeier opened the meeting at 1PM and started to perform the Pledge of Allegiance until Board Secretary Syndie Marchiello asked for the attendance report for the record. All directors present except Johnson apparently. You’ll have to listen for yourself – an attempt at humor?

After pledge the Secretary reminded the president about the public comment portion – and then explained to the unknown speaker (who was apparently still trying to sell some solar system to the district) that public comment was not a question answer period. GM began asking questions…. the “unknown” self-identified “expert” explained there were ways to accomplish what he was suggesting the district purchase…..yet apparently GM had received some contradictory information that there were regulations prohibiting the suggested process. Very cryptic information.
(What do you folks think?)

This solar contractor referenced utilizing a “map” and I almost shot Mtn Dew out my nostrils! lol WHICH FRIGG’N MAP OF THE DISTRICT ? Rather peculiar matter on the agenda actually.

No report by presiding officer, who then made a comment regarding the GM’s past review process.
Director Warren suggested changes to the review process – in a future agenda item.
GM McGOWAN REPORT: Intake working great, currently considering the possibility of drought and making preparations. Finishing touches on the barge taking place. USDA information and CAL OES. The later a denied request for backup power generators – too many applicants for the funds. (Office of Emergency Services – I believe) All district groundwater wells are producing but the flow meter on Ranchito Well #2 failed due to getting wet – apparently a design flaw with the sub ground vault. (Production not being recorded) Tank cleanings – hydrants being repaired, raised, and painted. Discover more work to be done when faulty equipment and valves are identified.

Meter audit…..not yet. Site inspections proceeding. Need to replace flow meters to obtain ACCURATE METER READS OF WATER. Still not completely done. Financial audit report next month. Two hour administrative inquiry meeting on March 10th scheduled with the Mariposa County Grand Jury. Only GM/Secretary will be required to attend. Just a traditional administrative review which is what they are supposed to do. Legal counsel stated it was something that should be done every year since there are so few governmental agencies in this area. More to report later after meeting.

District received $6,200 in a settlement for a damaged hydrant. President asked where? Panchito…? GM unsure of similar street names. Comments about roads in the area. GM discussed the 13,000 acre feet of water during the one storm that was released. (Approximately 6 inches of rainfall)
Water audit: 13.5% system loss – well within acceptable loss. GM states he believes the past loss was due to spreadsheet errors (?) Water in pipe was not being deducted, or system flushing (?)…..little things added up…… leaks are being fixed…..the new valve certainly stopped pumped water from trickling back into the lake..

Director Ross commented on the Grand Jury of the past…Ross suggested anyone speaking with the Grand Jury who is not sure of a particular fact, to just say you “don’t recall” because the Grand Jury asks questions for which they already have the answers. Ross went on about how one individual in the past was indicted and ultimately resigned. So if you don’t know the answer, say you don’t recall.

Consent agenda approval – Ross commented that it incorrectly stated Johnson had called the meeting open….. approved with correction.
Hankemeier expressed pleasure not seeing many large item costs.

CSDA nominations – seat A, GM McGowan running for the position. Used example of the OES denied grant…. GM said he needs to get out and attend the meetings… many by zoom.
Ross questioned if GM went to the meetings do we have the proper procedures for repayment or compensation….policies and such…. GM said there were line items in budget for such contingencies. Whether our district will pay for GM to attend meetings of another agency….Ross said it was not like a convention setting, but geared more to that specific agency. CALIFORNIA SPECIAL DISTRICT ASSOCIATION CSDA. GM read that the CSDA reimburses. Ross stated there were a lot of past scheduling conflicts with former GM/Treasurer Pete Kampa. Approved CSDA motion.

Proposition 218 rate study information: No meeting at the school was confirmed. NBS (company board is paying thousands of dollars to advise how to best raise our rates) advised all other rate studies are on hold due to COVID-19. GM continued to research and thought it best to wait until the COVID-19 issue subsides in a couple of months. Even using “streamline” (online apparently) was not recommended at this time.

Hankemeier said there were 400 vaccinations a week in Mariposa – 70+ year olds. Barge Renovation update: 2017 started…. multiple contractors/designers … $39,000 spent before any work was even done. Steel shortage influenced also. Many delays with good excuses. Request for additional funds for drought measures….maybe $30,000
$142,000 total so far spent. ($39,000 planning). Project was supposed to be $60,000.
Warren stated it was well invested money.
GM stated it was a unique situation hauling pipe on the water – definitely over budget, but not too bad considering all the change orders for safety issues. (Plus $11,000 for a motor.)
Discussion of typical work days and activities.
Water storage tanks: approximately 100 pages of reports. Sent to state with estimates of repair time. Gaskets on the hatch and mesh on the air vents – can be done in house. Alamo – 6′ of water at all times due to the altimeter functioning… replace ladder…. etc. state wants to see gaskets and mesh replaced. Generally good reports.
Directors commented on the past repairs needed and how much better the sites look now.
Cross talking…
Adjourned meeting, 19 after 2.

McClintok: The death of dreams and childhood

On Thursday, Congressman Tom McClintock spoke on the US House Floor, in opposition to HR 5.

McClintock was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”. Here are his words:

“Mr. Speaker:

This law could not be plainer: It says, gender is NOT a question of genetics; but of personal choice. Leftist dogma now calls for this doctrine to be imposed under force of law, and its effect is frightening.

States that have adopted similar laws have threatened safe spaces for women and intimidated the free exercise of conscience. But let me focus on just two aspects: how they destroy women’s sports and render parents powerless to protect their own children.

Selina Soule, a teenager worked her heart out and qualified for the Connecticut State Championship track meet. She said, “Eight of us lined up at the starting line … but when six of us were only about three quarters into the race, two girls were already across the finish line…What just happened? Two boys identifying as girls happened. Fair is no longer the norm. The chance to advance, the chance to win has been all over for us … This policy will take away our medals, records, scholarships and dreams.”

An anguished mother named Elaine, told her story: “Let me explain to you how this works… questioning a child’s professed gender identity is now illegal. So, if a little boy is 5 years old and believes he is the opposite sex, affirmative care means going along with his beliefs. Parents are encouraged to refer to him as their “daughter” and let him choose a feminine name…Is it really harmless to tell a child who still believes in the tooth fairy that he is the opposite sex? … If a 10-year-old girl is uncomfortable with her developing body and suddenly insists she is a boy, affirmative care means blocking this girl’s puberty with powerful drugs.”

America, wake up. This is the brave new world that House Democrats propose under the name “equality.”

The parents of every daughter who has ever poured their hearts into a sport should be outraged that their daughter’s dreams and hopes no longer matter to their representative. Every parent who would give their life to protect their child should be livid that this bill is about to replace them with bureaucrats who can administer puberty-blocking drugs on their child’s say-so. And every American should be scared as hell to realize the ideological extremism that is now running rampant behind the razer-wired, militarized U.S. Capitol. Hard to believe we once called it “the people’s house.”

Let this be a wake-up call to every voter that if you elect enough radicals to Congress – you get a radical Congress.”

HR 5 was passed shortly after this speech.
