While headed downhill for some watering before the REAL HEAT ARRIVED (it was already 90 degrees F at 0630hrs) I heard a helicopter approaching from the northeast. Always wanting to capture local appearing aircraft I pointed at the treetops with my digital camera waiting to see what version might revealed itself because it sure sounded like a big twin rotor! Having seen many other similar helicopters (where they were assigned at a military base) I recognized and believed it to be a Chinook, but am no expert.
Later saw the above news report mentioning a Chinook helicopter rescuing people at the CREEK FIRE which just happens to be in the same general direction today’s helicopter was headed. But again, I do not know for sure but it sure didn’t appear to be wasting any flight time. Thoughts and prayers to all those involved.
Picking up around her “recovery bed” in the great room yesterday I noticed a repair to a “play pillow” I made for Liz years ago (the one she can shake and throw around when feeling extra playful). Just an old pillow stuffed in a sack with a Tarantula spray painted on the outside to make it more unique. All of a sudden it hit me why my attention was immediately pulled to that corner repair job,……

Let’s see….Liz is still doing great although even with the sedation she’ll be napping/sleeping peacefully then suddenly POP UP and start licking the stitches. Just part of that normal itchy healing process. Much like how an area of the body can be insanely itchy when hair is growing back after a close shave with dog grooming trimmers. Well, so I’ve heard.
OK then, need to go clean up the misspelling of abscess. Can’t you hear it like when broadcasted over a grocery store PA speaker?

Well here’s another blah blah blah video presentation. Recycled LAME and all. Received another product with a manufacturer’s defect. Really sad too because the appliance seems rather solid with desirable features. Hell, I’d buy it again even knowing I would have to perform a quick repair. So far I believe the product worthy of the effort. Yup, only one weak link in the production/assembly chain turns an other wise great product into one destined for multiple inconvenient return shipping and warranty repair-replacement services – all the while the consumer is denied use of the product as planned when originally purchased. A real bummer for the customer and the company I would imagine (unless I just happened to receive the last unit to sneak by quality control on the conveyor belt before the “switch post melting” equipment received the necessary calibration for a solidly installed switch housing – which is normal). IS THAT NOT INTERESTING? A LUCID – COMMON SENSE CARTOON CONVERSATION BETWEEN A HUMAN AND RIFLE THAT COMICALLY POINTS OUT THE FALLACY OF A GUN BEING DANGEROUS ALL BY ITSELF (without a human operating the machine).
Wonder why such a clear message was removed?

Cartoon was essentially a TALKING ASSAULT STYLED RIFLE BRAGGING HOW DANGEROUS IT WAS TO A HUMAN MALE THAT WAS NOT IMPRESSED. Rifle keeps telling the human how dangerous it was because it could SHOOT HIM! The human was not impressed stating the rifle couldn’t do anything by itself and repeatedly tells the rifle he was not afraid of it by itself. The rifle becomes very upset threatening to shoot the man if he doesn’t respect just how dangerous the rifle actually is, but the man continues to dare the rifle to shoot him – stating it couldn’t all by itself.
The rifle tells the man to calm down (the man is perfectly calm and logical but refuses to admit the rifle is dangerous ALL BY ITSELF WITHOUT A HUMAN OPERATING IT) Rifle says, I can’t talk to you when you’re this upset, calm down – we’re just getting to know eachother. The man continues to deny how dangerous the rifles is and repeatedly challenges the rifle to GO AHEAD AND SHOOT HIM……
Loved the last part (of this now removed common sense argument cartoon) when the rifle says……(all this is paraphrasing the cartoon’s content……because I can’t remember the words exactly)
Rifle: “so you’re telling me I’m absolutely worthless without a human operating me?”
GOSH. WHY WAS A WONDERFULLY CREATIVE AND COMMON SENSE VIDEO REMOVED?
